Biopharma filtration & bioprocessing, compared product-by-product
A vendor-neutral matrix of 59 filtration & bioprocessing product lines from 23 makers — spanning TFF, virus filtration, sterile filtration, depth clarification, membrane chromatography, centrifugal separation, ultrapure water and automation/control. Compare the axes that actually drive the choice: application coverage, format, scale and single-use vs. reusable. Every row is confidence-marked against vendor datasheets; where a spec isn't public we say so rather than guess. Several vendors ship more than one product line — each gets its own row.

Best for… — where we'd start
This is a product-level map; a buyer still needs a starting point per job-to-be-done. Here it is by filtration task — picks are at product-line level, so confirm membrane spec, validation package and supply security for your application before shortlisting.
| If you're… | Start with | Why |

Product-line picks from the data above, not a per-model membrane-spec match. QB.systems (A4BEE) is a control/automation layer, not a membrane maker — see the QB note below.
Disclosure · where QB.systems fits
Reading this comparison as A4BEE
We publish this portal, and QB.systems is our own product — so it sits in the table above as one neutral row. The honest framing, straight from the analysis: QB competes on the automation / control layer of bioprocessing, not on filtration-media science. Its QB TFF System is a modular, vendor-agnostic automation platform (QB Control) that retrofits third-party rigs — the actual membranes and cassettes are still sourced from established makers. Its real edges are deployment speed (weeks, per case studies), open, vendor-agnostic architecture (Modbus TCP / OPC-UA), software-defined scaling and compliance-by-design at a lower price point. Against pure filtration manufacturers on filtration metrics — membrane IP, validated consumables, patent depth, global scale — QB is a much smaller, earlier-stage company (no patents found; ~97-person parent). Its real competitive set is bioprocess-automation and digital-twin vendors, not Sartorius, Pall or Cobetter as membrane makers.
About this data
Compiled from vendor datasheets, product pages and technical literature, product line by product line, current as of 2026. Application, format and scale classifications are A4BEE's reading of that evidence, not vendor self-descriptions. Specs change and product lines get renamed or repositioned after M&A (see the Sartorius / Novasep note in the grid) — verify against the current datasheet (linked ↗) before a purchase decision. Every row is confidence-marked; where a figure isn't public we show "n/d" rather than estimate. No vendor publishes list pricing, so price is shown only where genuinely disclosed. Nothing here is procurement advice.
